Recap: The Salt + Stillness Launch Night

Every good ritual has a beginning. For Salt + Stillness, ours was a launch night at The Kitchen at Pacific HQ in Swansea, and what a lovely way to welcome a new tradition into our community.

A new kind of Sunday

We created Salt + Stillness because so many women told us the same thing: they wanted a way to properly rest. Not scroll on the couch, not "relax" while folding washing, but genuinely switch off.

Salt + Stillness is our answer: a group sound healing and meditation session where you lie down, get cosy under a blanket and let sound and stillness do the work. The launch night was our chance to share it with the community for the very first time.

Setting the scene

On the night, the studio was transformed into a calm, softly lit space with mats, cushions and blankets laid out. After a warm welcome, women were guided to settle in, slow their breath and let the day fall away before the sound journey began. The session closed with quiet stillness and a gentle return to the room.

There's something special about a room full of women resting together. No performing, no achieving, just stillness, shared.

Thank you

Thank you to everyone who came along to the launch, and to our facilitator for holding such a beautiful space. We're so grateful to every woman who trusted us with an evening of rest, and to the Pacific HQ community for being such a wonderful home for The Kitchen.

Salt + Stillness is now a weekly ritual

The launch was just the beginning. Salt + Stillness now runs every Sunday at 4:30pm, the perfect way to soften the Sunday scaries and start your week calm. Find out more on our sound healing and meditation page, or read what actually happens at a sound healing session if you're new to it.
